HVAC Tech Heroes During COVID-19

June 22 is National HVAC Tech Day, and this year, more than ever, we are grateful for our dedicated and essential techs who continue to make home visits during the coronavirus pandemic. In no other time in modern history have so many people stayed so close to home for so long. The quality of the air we breathe at home matters more than ever, and we’re grateful for these HVAC tech heroes during the COVID-19 outbreak and beyond.

With both bravery and care, our techs have continued to service and install HVAC systems, following our stringent safety precautions, to provide local homes with year-long comfort. Our techs make sheltering in place a safer and less stressful experience for the entire family.

Experts: HVAC Protects Against COVID-19

Though home HVAC filters on their own can’t prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that “…operating the HVAC system can be part of a plan to protect yourself and your family, since running your HVAC system filters the air as it is circulated.”

The coronavirus is transmitted primarily through droplets when people sneeze or cough, but it may also linger on surfaces and in the air. HVAC systems, properly installed and serviced, may help reduce the potential for the airborne transmission of COVID-19.

Three More Reasons Our Techs Are Essential

Our techs don’t just keep you cool in summer, warm in winter and safer during pandemics. Their work matters in other ways, too:

  1. By keeping your HVAC system in peak working condition, they’ll help you save money on utility bills.
  2. If your system is down, they battle the elements, from humid heat to winter blasts, to get your home’s comfort back online.
  3. They squeeze into spots you’d rather avoid—including stuffy attics, damp basements and tight crawlspaces—to get the job done.

For all these reasons and more, we thank our techs on National HVAC Tech Day, and every day, for the work they do, a job that has never been more important.
